Trapani – Marsala – Castelbuono – Cefalù – Palermo

You can start this itinerary both from Palermo or Trapani airport and drive along the northwest coast of Sicily, from the sunny flat areas around Trapani and Marsala exposed to African winds and reminding of the coasts of North Africa towards the green and spectacular picks of the Madonie mountains with their secluded and beautiful villages. The Norman-Arab-Byzantine architectures of Palermo, Monreale and Cefalu are unmissable treasures along this route.   Do not forget that the province of Trapani and Marsala is one of the largest wine district in the whole Europe…and in the Madonie area excellent cheeses, cakes and biscuits are made.
